William Wiswall is a veteran trial attorney who has been highly successful throughout his career, first in criminal law and then as an attorney specializing in the settlement and trial of personal injury and wrongful death claims, his present specialty.

Mr. Wiswall served as lead trial counsel in the successful representation of golfer Casey Martin vs. PGA Tour, obtaining a permanent injunction that allows Casey to ride in a cart during professional competition in order to accommodate his disability. The case received worldwide publicity over a three-year period. (1998-2001).

In addition to successfully defending numerous criminal defendants on major felony and murder charges, Bill received recognition in the national press for obtaining an insanity verdict in the defense of a drunk driver. He obtained for his client a palimony verdict of $3,000.00 per month for life and obtained a large insurance recovery for the widow and child of an Olympian track star who was shot and killed by a deranged sniper on the rooftop of the University of Oregon football stadium. He has obtained multi-million dollar settlements and many large verdicts, recently having obtained a jury verdict of $3.7 million for a severely injured accident victim.

Bill has been the subject of multi media interviews, by ABC, CBS, FOX, USA Today and other news sources. He has served as special trial counsel for the Oregon State Bar Association and as officer and speaker for legal organizations.

At the request of the Oregon Supreme Court he served as pro-tem circuit court trial judge in both Lincoln and Multnomah counties. He has been active in introducing and obtaining passage of laws designed to improve the rights of accident victims.

Bill intends to continue in active practice, advocating on behalf of injury victims in the legislative and in Oregon's state and federal courts.
